CHENG JING CJ698 is a high-performance, one-component acid-curing silicone sealant specially engineered for large and massive plate glass applications. It cures at room temperature by reacting with atmospheric moisture, releasing acetic acid (vinegar-like odour) during curing to form a strong, permanently flexible and waterproof rubber seal. With super high bond strength and fast curing speed, it is the ideal choice for structural glass bonding and sealing projects.
This sealant delivers excellent weather resistance and can be extruded and applied across a wide range of climatic conditions. After full curing, it provides strong adhesion to most common building materials, including glass, ceramics, glazed tiles, anodized aluminium and non-oily woods. Its outstanding aging resistance ensures long-term durability and reliable sealing performance even under prolonged exposure to UV radiation, rain and temperature fluctuations.

Application Instructions
1. Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil and loose particles; clean glass with a suitable solvent and lint-free cloth.
2. Apply masking tape on both sides of the joint to achieve a clean, straight finish and protect adjacent surfaces.
3. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle to the desired bead size, pierce the inner foil seal, and fit the cartridge into a caulking gun.
4. Apply the sealant evenly into the joint in one continuous pass, ensuring full contact with both surfaces; avoid trapping air.
5. Tool the sealant immediately with a suitable shaping tool or wet finger within 5–10 minutes, then carefully remove the masking tape.
6. Allow the sealant to cure fully (at least 24 hours) before exposing to water or heavy load; avoid touching or disturbing the joint during curing.
Safety & Storage
- Use only in well-ventilated areas; the product releases acetic acid (vinegar-like odour) during curing — avoid prolonged inhalation.
- Wear protective gloves and eye protection during application; uncured sealant may irritate skin and eyes.
- Not recommended for use on copper, lead, zinc, marble, concrete or other alkaline/acid-sensitive materials, as acetic acid may cause corrosion or discoloration.
- Store cartridges upright in a cool, dry place below 27°C, away from direct sunlight and heat sources; keep sealed when not in use.
- Keep out of reach of children. Do not puncture or incinerate empty cartridges.
