CHENG JING A500 is an advanced, one-component neutral-curing hybrid polymer (MS/SPU) sealant that cures at room temperature by reacting with atmospheric moisture to form a durable, flexible and permanently waterproof rubber seal. Combining the best properties of silicone and polyurethane technologies, it offers excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates without the corrosive by-products of acid-cure silicones or the isocyanates of traditional PU sealants.
A500 provides outstanding primerless adhesion to porous and non-porous materials alike, including concrete, brick, natural stone, marble, granite, aluminium, steel, galvanized metal, glass, wood, ceramics and most plastics. Its neutral curing system is non-corrosive to metals and will not stain or discolour porous materials, making it safe for use on premium architectural surfaces. Once cured, the sealant can be painted over with most water-based and solvent-based paints.
With excellent resistance to UV radiation, weathering, ageing and temperature fluctuations, A500 maintains its elasticity, adhesion and sealing performance over long-term outdoor exposure. It is ideal for demanding construction applications such as facade and expansion joints, metal roofing and cladding, natural stone sealing, window and door perimeter sealing, and general multi-substrate bonding where a neutral, non-staining, paintable seal is required.

Application Instructions
1. Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil and loose particles. Clean porous substrates with a suitable cleaner and allow to dry; wipe smooth surfaces with isopropyl alcohol.
2. For joints deeper than 10 mm, install a closed-cell polyethylene backer rod to control sealant depth and ensure a 2:1 width-to-depth ratio. Apply masking tape on both sides of the joint for a clean finish.
3. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle to the desired bead size, pierce the inner foil seal, and fit the cartridge or sausage into a caulking gun.
4. Apply the sealant evenly into the joint in one continuous pass, ensuring full contact with both surfaces. The non-sag formula allows application on vertical and overhead joints.
5. Tool the sealant immediately with a suitable shaping tool or wet finger within the tack-free time (15–30 minutes), then carefully remove the masking tape before a skin forms.
6. Allow the sealant to cure fully (approximately 2–3 mm per 24 hours) before exposing to water, heavy load or painting. Avoid touching or disturbing the joint during curing.
Safety & Storage
- Use in well-ventilated areas; although low in odour, avoid prolonged inhalation of curing vapours and direct skin/eye contact with uncured sealant.
- Wear protective gloves and eye protection during application; in case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
- Remove uncured sealant from skin and tools with a suitable cleaner or damp cloth before curing; cured sealant can only be removed mechanically.
- Store cartridges or sausages upright in a cool, dry place below 27°C, away from direct sunlight, heat sources and moisture; keep sealed when not in use.
- Do not puncture or incinerate containers, even when empty; dispose of waste material in accordance with local environmental regulations.
