CHENG JING A300 is a high-performance, one-component acid-curing (acetoxy) silicone sealant that cures at room temperature by reacting with atmospheric moisture to form a durable, permanently flexible and waterproof rubber seal. Its fast skin-over time, excellent transparency and outstanding adhesion to glass make it the preferred choice for glass bonding and general glazing applications.
A300 offers exceptional adhesion to glass, aluminium, glazed ceramics and most non-porous surfaces, typically without the need for a primer. The cured sealant maintains excellent elasticity over a wide temperature range and provides reliable resistance to UV radiation, weathering and ageing, ensuring long-term sealing performance both indoors and outdoors.
With its fast curing speed, high clarity and strong glass bonding capability, A300 is ideal for fabricating glass aquariums and display cases, installing glass in aluminium window and door frames, sealing glass curtain walls and structural glazing joints, and bonding glass shelves and mirrors. Note: due to its acetic acid release during curing, it is not recommended for use on corrosion-sensitive metals such as copper, brass, lead or carbon steel, or on porous stone and concrete.

Application Instructions
1. Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil and loose particles. Clean glass and smooth surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.
2. Apply masking tape on both sides of the joint for a clean, straight finish. For joints deeper than 10 mm, install a closed-cell polyethylene backer rod to control sealant depth.
3. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle to the desired bead size, pierce the inner foil seal, and fit the cartridge into a caulking gun.
4. Apply the sealant evenly into the joint in one continuous pass, ensuring full contact with both surfaces. Avoid trapping air bubbles.
5. Tool the sealant immediately with a suitable shaping tool or wet finger within the tack-free time (5–15 minutes), then carefully remove the masking tape before a skin forms.
6. Allow the sealant to cure fully (approximately 2–3 mm per 24 hours) before exposing to water or heavy load. Ensure good ventilation during curing to disperse acetic acid vapour.
Safety & Storage
- Use in well-ventilated areas; curing releases acetic acid vapour which may irritate eyes and respiratory tract. Avoid prolonged inhalation and direct skin/eye contact.
- Wear protective gloves and eye protection during application; in case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
- Remove uncured sealant from skin and tools with a suitable silicone cleaner before curing; cured sealant can only be removed mechanically.
- Store cartridges upright in a cool, dry place below 27°C, away from direct sunlight, heat sources and moisture; keep sealed when not in use.
- Do not use on corrosion-sensitive metals (copper, brass, lead, carbon steel), porous stone or concrete. Do not puncture or incinerate containers; dispose of waste per local regulations.
